After a flood which left their bathroom in need of a complete overhaul, Lesley and Peter from Nottinghamshire finally had everything sorted – except the finishing touch. And that’s where Web-Blinds came in.
Making waves in a neutral bathroom
“After we completely redecorated, our tatty, dated curtains just weren’t up to the job,” Lesley explains. “In our new room, we already had a few coastal inspired accessories, including a stripy blue bath mat and laundry basket so we knew the sort of thing we were looking for to cover our window. We searched online, and were really impressed with the range Web-Blinds had to offer.
“We found the website so easy to use. We knew we were looking for a blue Roller blind to finish off our décor scheme, so we browsed using the colour option. We used our tablet to view the website, so we could get a feel for the colours in the room we’d actually be having the blind.
“We picked our favourites to receive as samples”
“We picked a number of our favourites to receive as samples, and after a little deliberation, decided on this lovely striped fabric. It’s fitting we – or should I say mostly I – picked a fabric called Seaside Stripe!”
Lesley may have had the final say in the fabric department, but she was happy to hand over to Peter when it came to the DIY side of things. “I’ve always been handy around the house – from catching spiders to putting up shelves!” explains Peter.
Fantastic quality and the finishing touch on our room
“When our blind arrived, I couldn’t wait to get it up and put the finishing touch on a room we’d worked on for so long. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the blind, and now that it’s up, I’m really pleased with the way my handiwork has turned out too!”
Keen to not let Peter’s head get too big, Lesley quickly adds, “the how-to videos were so helpful on Web-Blinds I really think anyone could do it! I’d definitely recommend the site to my friends – from beginning to end, the process couldn’t have been smoother.”
Our home: We’ve lived in our five bedroom converted bungalow in Nottinghamshire for twenty-five years now, and we couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.
Our room then: We’ve always loved being by the sea, but living in a land-locked county means we have to get our day-to-day fix elsewhere! Our costal themed bathroom was lacking something to tie it all together.
And now: The blind really brings together the look we were going for, and we love that we can still have our favourite ornaments we’ve collected on our travels on the windowsill.
Proudest project: We’re not scared of a project! Our home started out as a pokey two-bedroom bungalow. But on a smaller scale, the gallery wall displaying a mixture of photos, artwork and our favourite piece of music in our living room truly sums us up.
