When it came to updating Teresa’s bedroom, it was the little things that mattered. Here’s how Web-Blinds’ Wooden blinds played a part in her makeover.
“I wanted to give my bedroom a new lease of life,” says Teresa. “I still loved my monochrome floral wallpaper and the main items of furniture, but it was time to update the finer details.”
One of those finer details was Teresa’s window dressings. With thin, off-the-peg curtains and a white Roller blind she rarely pulled down, it was time for a change.
Teresa has always loved natural materials – her bedframe is solid, carved wood, while the floor is gorgeous, exposed floorboards. So wood at the window was a natural choice.
Teresa already had a white Wooden blind in her lounge, which is immediately below her bedroom. She liked the idea of having a uniform look, so went for a white slat to match the one she already had in the lounge.
“I had a quick search online and found Web-Blinds – and when you’ve got small children running around, it really does have to be quick. I was really pleased with the choice, and decided on the sleek Deluxe Puritan Wooden blind” says Teresa.
“I also opted for coordinating tape, something I didn’t do in the living room. When the blind came, I couldn’t believe just how sophisticated it made the blind look, almost like shutters. I only wish I’d found Web-Blinds when I was choosing my lounge blind too!”
Teresa’s dad helped her to put up the new blind, and it was up in no time. The crisp white slats did a great job of unifying the room, and the black curtains no longer eclipse the radiator.
Finally, Teresa chose a stylish new chandelier to replace the old ceiling fan. It’s a touch of everyday luxury that she loves, and finishes off the room beautifully.
“Having seen the gorgeous look of tape, next on my list is a matching blind for the living room – I can’t resist having a shutter effect in the family area of the house too!”
